The Forbes report quoted the Hong Kong Airport Authority as saying that the campaign was given to airlines as a government relief package during the peak of the epidemic to ease the pressure of liquid assets. These tickets were bought in October last year to support the airlines.
How to get free ticket?
According to reports, the total cost of five lakh tickets is $255 million. In today’s Indian currency, this amount is 20 billion 96 crore 95 lakh 42 thousand 500 rupees. These tickets will be distributed through Cathay Pacific, HK Express and Hong Kong Airlines.
According to a Forbes report, travelers wishing to fly to Hong Kong can register themselves for a lottery called World of Winners on hongkongairport.com from March 1.
Tickets will be distributed in three phases. From March 1 to April 1, people of South East Asia will be able to take advantage of this campaign. After this, the turn of people living in China will come till May 1. In the summer, 80,000 free air tickets will be given to Hong Kong residents and 80,000 to those living in the Greater Bay Area. It has been informed in some reports that if the lottery for free tickets is held, then you will have to make arrangements for passport and visa.
